Christmas 2008. I made this for my new BFF, Ashly! Since we have moved to the Quad Cities it is a breath of fresh air. I feel my creative bones moving again! It is very nice!
Around the piece is a Placebo lyric from a song called Pure Morning. I thought that it would go perfectly with the art work and give the viewers an immediate thought about the piece. The white dots in the black area are suppose to represent the alignment of the stars. The red area is a collage of monks gathering for something holy. Dark nites and blue skies are suppose to represent just that. The entire piece is revolving around one big disco ball that is suppose to represent the sun. FUN FUN!
I hope she likes the piece.
